For us, a home is more than simply four walls and a roof. That’s why we enable our customers to design their home based on their own wishes and choices. As a partner that collaborates on equal terms, this means that we are where our customers are: both offline and online, we provide the expertise, inspiration and support needed in every project. When the analogue and digital worlds come together, and when our experts are ideally equipped to play their part, irrespective of the channel or customer requirement, we call this connected store.
Franchising
Growth through partnership is a philosophy we have embodied since day one, and our success story has now been going strong for over 50 years. Together, we have created the densest network of stores in Germany and – through entrepreneurship coupled with passion – we have helped make the OBI brand a success. Now, the time has come for further growth: as a reliable partner with more than 660 stores in Europe and over 10 million registered heyOBI users, we can achieve this with franchise companies of all sizes. As part of this, we want to gain a better understanding of our customers’ needs and provide tailored solutions and offerings across all channels. By combining the strengths of our brick-and-mortar stores with the versatile possibilities of the OBI ecosystem, we are creating added value for our customers and for our business partners.


Partnering
We have a clear vision: to make OBI Europe’s first port of call for home and garden. This means we are growing with capable partners, offering products and solutions on demand and, in doing so, enabling our customers to make every home and garden project a reality – from inspiration and planning to implementation and beyond, based on either a do-it-yourself or do-it-for-me concept.
Local Partnering: For us, local partnering involves cooperation with local specialist companies that are able to support and provide our services locally, such as nurseries.
Product Partnering: Our product partners augment the OBI range with numerous products. On the curated OBI marketplace, selected sellers offer an even greater selection of items (such as garden sheds) for our customers.
Solution Partnering: Our solution partners take care of complete solutions such as photovoltaic installations, including the needs analysis, consultation, installation and maintenance stages. If required, they can even check for government funding programmes.
Retail Media
Leading international economic experts predict that, by 2026, one in every four US dollars in the marketing mix will be invested into the asyet fledgling retail media sector. With our OBI First Media Group (OFMG) subsidiary, we are already in the perfect position and are achieving triple-win situations for our endemic and non-endemic partners – with the kind of outstanding success that has become standard for us.
